The image I used to describe my approach to life began with a stool that I sat on: If I am disturbed, the problem is in me; if I spot it I got it; and what other people think of me is none of my business...
It became a chair when I added: I have one employer, his name is God. I have one job description and it is to love.
Now it must be a hand because I know of no five legged chairs. This is an outworking of my work in hermeneutics with Dwight Friesen and my practicum with Tim Reber. It is still being formed in my mind but now I am adding: I must actively and quietly listen to the Spirit's voice in every circumstance. She is always speaking. I want to hear her voice.
