Warren gave us an extended list of "talents" that we rated 0-10. He took them from Discovering Your Natural Talents, John Bradley and Jay Carty (Colorado Springs, CO: Navpress, 1991) Zero means I couldn't do this if my life depended on it. Ten means that you know it is a talent enjoyed. Five means that you may be good at it but don't like it, or you may enjoy it but may not be good at it...
They are subdivided into loose categories:
Communication Talents
- Writing -- The natural ability to clearly convey information, moods or feelings, through the use of the written word
- Conversing -- The natural talent of generating and sustaining an easy flow of one-to-one discussion resulting in a sense of mutual understanding
- Public Speaking -- The natural talent for persuasively and accurately presenting information, moods, or feelings through the use of spoken words targeting a live audience.
- Teaching -- The natural talent to present information in an easily understandable way to a small or large group of people. The emphasis is on audience understanding (See also #13 Moderating, and #15 Giving Presentations).
- Broadcasting -- The natural talent for conveying information, moods or feelings through verbal discussion via audio visual media (including the telephone, radio, TV, internet, podcasts, etc...)
- Designing -- The natural talent for expressing ideas, concepts, moods or feelings through design layout; including graphic arts architecture, drafting, landscape design, etc...
- Painting -- The natural talent for expressing ideas, moods, feelings and concepts through painting with oils, pastels, chalk, etc... doesn't necessarily include a design component.
- Using colours and patterns -- The natural talent of expressing moods or feelings through the arrangement of colours, fabrics, patterns or textures such as in clothing, wallpaper, photography, or silkscreening.
- Using shapes or forms -- The natural talent to express moods or feelings through the arrangement of objects, shapes, or undefined forms, including room arrangement, architectural landscaping, housing or urban planning, and sculpture. Does not necessarily include space and cost efficiency (see # 20 Order of your space)
- Using handicrafts -- The natural talent for expressing moods or feelings through the creation of jewelry or other craft items made of wood, leather, cloth, metal, beads or other materials.
- Composing or arranging music -- The natural talent for expressing moods or feelings through music via written composition. This is not necessarily connected to performance talents (see #12-15) or creating talent (see #21)
- Acting impersonating-- The natural talent for modifying one's behaviour and attitudes to portray a defined character.
- Group moderating -- The natural talent for facilitating group interaction.
- Singing or musical instrument playing -- The natural talent to stand or sit before an audience as an individual or in a group performing for them either through singing or playing of an instrument.
- Giving presentations -- The natural talent for giving presentations in front of others that include audience interaction, such as management briefings, workshops, seminars, giving announcements, or performing the role of emcee

The next section is entitled relational talents
- Multi-relational --The natural talent for quickly establishing rapport with all types of people in first encounters. Repeated contact does not necessarily enhance the effectiveness of the initial contact. The contact is displayed one on one or to a group. It does not necessarily include public speaking.
- Familiar Group relational -- The natural talent for developing rapport with an established group of individuals through repeated contact. Continued contact generally increases relational bonds.
- Singular relational -- the natural talent for working on a project by oneself or with two or three other people over and extended period of time. Because of limited interaction with the public, relationships with friends are usually very deep and long lasting. This talent does not exclude casual interaction with the public arena, nor does it exclude public speaking or teaching talents
I will post the functional talents later on...
